Customise the widget’s appearance
The panel’s text, colour, language and icon, set from the dashboard.
The three attributes of the tag decide the floating button. Everything shown INSIDE the panel is set in the dashboard, on the "Widget Customization" screen (app.echo-group.ca/support/customization). Nothing is applied until you press "Save settings", at the bottom of the page.
What the screen sets

| Greeting Message | The first message in the thread, written by the assistant when a new conversation opens. Left alone, Echo writes a hello in the widget’s language. |
| Welcome Title | The heading at the top of the panel, outside a conversation. The widget appends a 👋 to it. |
| Welcome Subtitle | The line shown under that heading. |
| Primary Color | Five colours offered — Blue, Green, Pink, Orange, Red — plus a free picker for any other value. |
| Widget language | The language of the widget’s own text — buttons, prompts, system messages — out of ten: French, English, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Arabic, Chinese, Hindi, Japanese, Russian. |
| Assistant Icon | The image shown beside the assistant’s replies, uploaded from your machine. Failing that, Echo’s logo in your colour. |
| Default Suggestions | Three clickable questions, shown only while the conversation holds nothing but the greeting. Clicking one sends it as it is, without going through the input field. |
The “Powered by Echo” line
The foot of the panel carries “Powered by Echo”. It shows on every plan, free and paid alike, and no setting takes it off. That is the trade for accessible prices: your widget is how people hear about us. If removing it matters to you, write to us and we will talk it through.
Colour: which one wins
- The tag’s data-color attribute comes before everything else, in the panel as well as on the button.
- Without it, the dashboard’s "Primary Color" applies — to the panel, and to the floating button too, which the panel tells the colour to shortly after the page loads.
- With neither, Echo’s blue: #1a5af0.
The dark theme is not set here, and does not need to be: the widget follows your page’s. See "Install Echo Support on your site".
What this screen does not do
- The corner is not set here: that is the tag’s data-position attribute.
- The "Custom CSS" section at the bottom of the page stays locked: it is not part of the plans on offer today.
- There is no preview: to see the result, save, then reload a page carrying the tag.
- The screen is reserved for the organization’s owner and administrators. Any other role sees "Access Restricted".
